The silver pendant "Helm of Awe" is made of 925 sterling silver and is surrounded by a magical rune circle and Celtic knots. Also called helmet of awe, is a Viking symbol of Nordic mythology. In order to develop its effects, the wearer must first press it against his forehead. Like the Viking people, the symbol was worn on the inside of the helmet or between the eyes for protection in battle and to protect yourself from magical attacks.
Runes are an ancient writing system used by nordic germanics. Unlike other writing systems, runes were mostly used for religious and not everyday purposes. Nowadays you can find thousands of of ancient rune stones all over scandinavia and Germany.
