The beautiful rune stone was made of high quality bronze and exudes a very special magic. Rune stones are upright stones with rune inscriptions. These stones were erected from the Nordic Iron Age and during the Vendel and Viking periods between the 5th and 12th centuries. They were mostly used to commemorate the deceased or fallen, but also as monuments to one's own accomplishments. Many rune stones are decorated with ornaments or ribbons. Around 200 rune stones are also provided with figurative representations, of which about 100 with animal representations
