Stainless Steel Pendant - Hand of Glory
The hand of the dead is the severed hand of a deceased person, mainly of executed persons, which was used as a remedy in European folk medicine and as a talisman. Magical rituals and healing methods with a dead man's hand belong to the folkloristic customs of the so-called blood superstition, according to which corpse parts and juices of humans and animals were attributed special powers. Due to the low availability of dead hands, the practices were also carried out with individual dead fingers. In order to obtain the hands of the dead, they were often cut off immediately after the executions.
